Exciting News

Hi friends!

I have some exciting news which is that I have now heard back from all of the schools that I have applied to and I have officially accepted my offer to attend Suffolk University for the fall 2021 semester. Yay!!

I got the big envelope!
Awesome acceptance package

This is why I did not post last week and why this week’s post is a day late, I have been so busy with paperwork and I’ve started looking at apartments and everything, on top of working most days. But I am so excited that I officially know now that I will be heading back to Boston, and in only like a month or two. I can’t wait!!

I will be a psychology major at Suffolk University, which is located smack dab in the middle of Boston. I am going to be working on my undergraduate degree, but as I have already completed the two first years of a bachelor’s degree at the community colleges I have previously attended I only have half of my credits left to complete.

This was my first ever graduation diploma, for my Associate degree

I have obtained my Associate degree from Bunker Hill Community College, which I completed in December 2020.

The great thing is that I have taken most of the courses that are not directly connected to my major but that I still have to take, like science classes and random general education classes, at the community colleges, so now I can mainly just focus on taking psychology classes, which is what I am passionate about.

I have also been accepted into the Honors program which is very exciting. This means I will be eligible to take honors classes, which are classes that are a little more challenging, as well as take part in a myriad of other opportunities at the school only open to honors students. This will probably make it easier for me when applying to graduate schools down the line as well, which is a huge bonus.

So far not much is decided, I am waiting to hear back from the school regarding some paperwork that will tell me the latest date that I need to be in the country so that I can purchase my flight tickets. As an international student there is a lot more paperwork that I need in order to attend university in America and get into the US, but at least having a student visa allows me entry into the country despite travel bans that are still in place. And hopefully my mom can accompany me as I am on a visa and so she will be able to come as well for a few days!

Anyways, this was a bit of a shorter post but I just wanted to let you all know what is going on in my life and that I will be heading back to the States to finally continue my education! I am beyond excited that Happy and I will be going back home to Boston so soon!

Until next time!
